Lord thank you for grooming me for my own advocacy, the referral from Dr. Whitney Johnson and Dr. Doreen Moser, and the resources to travel to Texas for Dr. Garner. The anxiety decreased the moment we stepped foot into her beautiful office. Dr. Garner took her time explaining. The paperwork and scheduling were efficient and fun to read. Being a vain human, I worried about my tendency to keloid. My scar was barely visible 3 weeks post op after a complete thyroidectomy. My aspirations of being a neck model are still possible, LOL! I was off pain meds within 48 hours. I still can’t scream five weeks out, a gift to my family. I suffer from fatigue, brain fog, night sweats, irritability, binge eating to not eating. While my lab work is good my body is providing me with evidence otherwise. I knew this would not be a cake walk. I am grateful to have an excellent surgeon and responsive team to walk alongside me adjusting my meds and listening to my concerns. Dr. Garner was the right choice!
