Dr. Baker is first and foremost a top-notch medication manager and diagnostician. What truly sets him apart from his peers, however, is his ability and willingness to transcend this role and its limitations to approach his patients’ mental health concerns holistically. He listens intently and invites his patients to open up with his warm demeanor. He helps patients see the best in themselves and their circumstances. During my appointments, he is present, engaged— kindness incarnate. Afterward, his commitment to following through and following up have kept me trending in the right direction. I’ve no doubt under his care I’ll be able to live a life less and less encumbered and constrained by mental health concerns — and that is a wonderful feeling.
