Doctor Patel was my initial neurologist at a major hospital in Texas. She documented my symptoms based on the medical guidelines. Her predecessor and my PCP disagreed because they disregard my symptoms. On the other hand, the physical therapist agreed with Dr. Patel. Unfortunately, my condition continued to deteriorate under my previous providers. I learned that Dr Patel opened up her own practice and I was able to get a referral. Again, she documented my symptoms, reviewed my current images, and did a neurological physical exam that confirmed her previous diagnosis. She referred me out to one of the top neurosurgeons in the country, and to other needed referrals. It's apparent that she's extremely knowledgeable because she reads and stays current and up to date in her field of expertise. If you're looking for a competent neurologist with good judgement, Dr. Patel is your gal.
