I went into the ER for abdominal pain. The ER doctor confirmed that I had an inflamed appendix. However, Dr. Dua was able to treat me without surgery. I was treated with antibiotics for have avoided surgery. Dr. Dua stated that in 15% of patients they see a return of the inflamed appendix. It was great to see a surgeon not be too quick to perform a surgery, which so far has been proven to not be needed.
