After a lovely trip to Boone I ended up in the ER with a kidney infection. Dr. Schlake diagnosed the cause was a very large kidney stone. He described my options and because we were trying to get back home to MI he offered a temporary solution of putting in a stent. His surgical team were the best. They kept me calm and even were by my side when I woke up. I've never experienced a nicer group of people. I even received a "get well" card from them. Just the best all around.
