How likely are you to recommend Dr. Meraney?

(Select your rating)
I just celebrated 3 years since Dr. Meraney performed my surgery for treatment of bladder cancer. After tests and a biopsy confirmed a diagnosis of Stage II/III bladder cancer, Dr. Meraney explained the treatment options for bladder cancer, outlined the pro’s and con’s, and helped me make a decision among the treatment alternatives. Dr. Meraney was supportive and compassionate throughout. After I completed a course of chemotherapy, Dr. Meraney and his team at Hartford Hospital performed a radical cystectomy (removing my bladder) and created an ileal conduit. The surgery went smoothly with no post-op complications. I was up and walking the same day, and out of the hospital within in a week. Since my surgery, Dr. Meraney has continued to be my oncologist and urologist, meeting and monitoring me on a regular basis. He and his group’s nurses have been available and supportive throughout the whole process.
