Dr. Andrew Vivas is an exceptional Neurosurgeon and his dedication to his patients is remarkable. My active lifestyle was brought to a standstill by excruciating pain that persisted for more than four months. I explored every avenue of treatment, from injections to physical therapy and acupuncture, but nothing offered relief. Thankfully Dr. Vivas, an accomplished Spine Neurosurgeon performed a minimally invasive microscopic synovial cyst resection at the L5-S1 on my right side. The risk of spinal fluid leakage was the main concern as the cyst had adhered to the dura/nerve sac. However, Dr. Vivas approached my condition with utmost precision. The 1.5-hour surgery seemed like a breeze, and I was walking five miles a day shortly after surgery, without the need for any pain medications. I am a highly selective patient who did not rush into choosing a surgeon. I met with multiple experts in the field, but Dr. Vivas rose to the top. His expertise, professionalism, and commitment are truly extraordinary. I had numerous questions about my condition, and Dr. Vivas didn't just provide detailed answers through the patient portal; he also took the time to review them one-on-one with me. Despite his undoubtedly busy schedule, he always made me feel like I was his top priority. Navigating the complexities of the UCLA medical system and insurance procedures can be daunting, but Dr. Vivas and his team swooped in to lend their support. Dr. Vivas is the epitome of a perfectionist, and in the world of spinal surgery, that's exactly what you want. In my eyes, Dr. Vivas walks on water, and I can't express how grateful I am for his exceptional care. His expertise, compassion, and unwavering commitment to his patients make him a true standout in the world of neuro/orthopedic surgery.
