Dr. Arefie was my primary care doctor at Kaiser for many years until Jan 2022. I had Lung cancer 4-2020 and then it spread to Brain 7-2021. I had an MRI on a Saturday and as soon as she got the MRI report on Sunday, she frantically contacted any surgeons, hotlines within kaiser to have a brain surgeon to take actions. Finally a surgeon contacted me the next day and had surgery in less than a day as I was told by the surgeon that I had 12-24 hours to live. She was also the one who was convinced by me that I needed an MRI for brain and middle-ear as everyone said for months that my symptoms are of Vertigo and not brain tumor. How wrong were they? Dr. Arefie cares about her patient and that is the kind of doctors we all need.
