Omg I am shocked how many people here don’t know the difference between a psychiatrist and a psychologist. A psychiatrist is a medical Doctor Who manages medication and may refer you to a psychologist aka therapist. a therapist cannot prescribe medication so you go see a psychiatrist like Dr. Stanton. Dr. Stanton is one of the best in her field, and participated in research in some of the medication we know so well today. However, MCLA was bought by LifeStance , which is a TERRIBLE company. MCLA office staff were always rude so maybe they’re the same? But all the good MDs left. The guy I see now is a physicians assistant who has written my prescriptions wrong four times now; he doesn’t seem to understand that XR (extended release) is a very important distinction when prescribing medication. Also, if you have to reschedule the day before because of an emergency you still get charged $150. Unfortunately, I have no idea Where Dr. Stanton is or if she is still practicing. I wish I did!
