Honestly, I'm baffled by the earlier review here. I've been a patient of Darlene for the past 8 years, and I see her once in a while for check-in sessions at this point. She is compassionate, kind, understanding, fosters a welcoming LGBT+ environment and was an advocate for me in my education. She carved out time out of her day to be on conference calls with 504 coordinators and stayed in regular contact with my school psychologist. I can't even begin to express all my thanks for all the support she has given me over the years. Additionally, even though I stuttered/mumbled quite a bit when I talked, she never showed any frustration. I believe, without a doubt, I would not be where I am today without her. For context, there was a time where my family and I had doubts that I would graduate high school due to my mental health. I am now at a top university studying a rigorous major and thriving. I am leaps and bounds from where I was, and Darlene was with me every step of the way.
