I don't know how to Thank Dr. Griffen. I took my daughter to her first eye appointment and he noticed an abnormal finding. He took me aside and explained the whole thing and said he would write her doctor. When we went to CHOP they said it was VERY rare for an optometrist to catch this. After testing, she was diagnosed with a rare genetic disease that is usually not identified until there is irreversible organ damage. We are incredibly grateful to him for catching this. What a difference he has made to my daughter and our entire family. For one person to be diagnosed usually results in 5 other family members who also have the disease. Thank you so much!
