I have had the great fortune to work through my problems with Antonia. She is a caring and conscientious professional who is totally non-judgmental and who is a careful listener who never burdens the client with her personal opinions. When I was expressing to Dr. Hickey some of my most personal difficult life experiences, I knew that she was listening to me in a careful and empathic way and that I was in the safest of places. Dr. Antonia Hickey tried her best to provide for me all the caring attention that I missed from my parents and family. She was there. She understands healthy boundaries and she has no need to impose on her client any notion of some absolute truth. She tries real hard to let the client find his or her own voice. Her dedication to her client is unconditional.
