A previous review complains about being directed to schedule a separate appt for depression evaluation when springing a request for meds on Ms. Vang. Consider the following: 1. proper evaluation for various mood disorders often requires several appts and several specialists for accurate diagnosis and scripts 2. Current climate is hostile regarding mood altering scripts without thorough documentation; many patients seeking mood altering drugs have addiction issues, as well; many well-meaning drs have been nailed for it 3. most practitioners prefer to review case histories and records prior to evaluating a patient for any ailment - and depression was not why the patient initially requested their appt 4. It takes an avg of 2 yrs to find the right balance of meds & behavioral changes to manage mood disorders well AFTER diagnosis 5. Given the above points, requesting the patient schedule a separate evaluation ahead of time for this type of ailment is the responsible thing to do
