I started seeing Alicia in January of 2020 after getting married, moving to a new city, and starting a new job. She was able to help with that transition period and provided valuable insight into some of my habits and thought patterns that were limiting me during that time. While we started in-person sessions, we eventually switched to virtual visits due to Covid lockdown and also switched to weekly sessions. I wouldn't have made it through lockdown in the positive mental state I did without Alicia. In addition to helping manage fears and apprehensions of daily life during that time, we were also able to dig deep into my past and I was able to find forgiveness for relationships in a way I didn't believe was possible. Whenever I find myself struggling or telling myself stories, I gently remind myself, 'Well, did you tell them ___?' and it's such a simple and profound reminder to advocate for myself and my needs. I wish I could start sessions again but unfortunately I've moved out of MA.
