Dr Kurko has great communication skills and patience. She has twice consulted with me and answered questions and shared, in detail, everything I wanted to know about my upcoming surgery. I trust her 100%. Even though she’s not originally from the United States, her English is perfect. It can be frustrating if your doctor is not easily understood. And it’s great when there are no communication issues. Her ostomy nurse, Stacy, is kind and helpful. She was very patient with me and spent a whole hour with me! Stacy has an ostomy herself, which makes it easier to talk about details, and not be something she read from a book. Stacy showed me various supplier’s products and shared pros and cons.I’m not sure when I’m going to have this surgery, but I know both of them will take great care of me! Also, to my surprise, Stacy will come and help me adjust at the hospital, and that gives me great confidence!
