How likely are you to recommend Dr. Lavine?
Dr. Lavine is not only a great neurosurgeon/interventional radiologist, but also a very kind and compassionate human being who explains clearly and patiently what he is doing. He performed a somewhat complicated endovascular procedure on my wife's brain aneurysm and she appears to have recovered quickly after it, having happily avoided the likely more difficult effects of open surgery. His very friendly staff and others at Columbia University Medical Center clearly hold him in the highest regard.
