Dr. Dickson was my nephrologist for over five years until a recent move. His genial and forthright manner reduced my anxiety about having chronic disease. He would review all the lab numbers/indicators and then explain what those meant in terms I could understand. His balance of prescriptions kept my overall kidney function stable and even slightly improved. He also kept current with my other physicians so that he viewed my entire health picture from his as well as their expertise. He always had current with past lab reports as a way of measuring next steps in possible needed treatments. I very much appreciated his clear engagement with my health realities.
