About Me
Care Philosophy
- My name is Joon Uhm. I am a clinical neuro-oncologist as well as the enterprise subspecialty director for neuro-oncology across the three Mayo Clinic sites. My role here at Mayo Clinic first and foremost is patient care, the best patient care possible for patients who are afflicted with brain and spine cancers. Sometimes the waters are a bit murky, the skies are cloudy, and my job is to make sure that we always have some sort of a direction in the way the patient will be cared for. I do what I do, because I think it helps people through difficult times. It's a real privilege to be a part of patients and families lives. That's why I do what I do. We will always have your best interests at heart. We do the best that we can with as much compassion as we can.
