Unexpected injury, September of 2020. MRI showed a complete rotator cuff tear along with the bicep muscle being completely torn. At 61 years old I was scared and unsure of what to expect before, during, and after the upcoming repair of my dominant arm shoulder surgery. Clearly, we can’t know the full extent of care we will get being put in the hands of a surgeon you’ve never met, right? You have to Trust. But then as you go through the surgery, recovery and many follow up appointments you learn to realize just how skilled those hands were that put you back together! Skilled, meticulous, compassionate, extremely smart and knowledgeable describes Dr. Karpie! It’s the honest to goodness truth. I know without a doubt my shoulder surgery has been done by one of the BEST orthopedic Surgeons In Western NY. I want to also mention Dr. Karpie’s physicians assistant James, who is pretty top notch as well! The continued support and care I received was beyond incredible! So grateful.
