I developed constant neck and back pain overt the course of a few months, and was told by my GP to do physical Therapy. I called a few offices, and then went to Dr. Tolbert for a consultation. I liked her approach. She doesn’t just do PT— give you exercises and massage therapy. She also tries to figure out what is at the root of the problem. She had me do bloodwork and found that I had some vitamin deficiencies and some thyroid issues, all of which she said could be contributing to my back and neck pain. I love that she didn’t prescribe pain pills, she instead gave me a regimen of vitamins. That along with the PT stretches and exercises have started helping my pain immensely. She specializes in pain management and does not promote unneeded surgery or pain medication. She checks on my progress regularly, and really seems to care. And the women who work in the office are great too. I love that it’s not a big corporate practice, but that it’s smaller independently owned.
