Last thing I wanted to hear was 'back surgery'. After a skiing incident and an attempt at chiropractic relief left me with a right leg that I had to drag along in order to walk, the MRI showed a ruptured disc that demanded immediate attention. I was (only) 57 yrs old, could barely feel my right foot and envisioned days/weeks in a hospital. Dr DeWitt explained it was OUTPATIENT surgery that would have me on my feet the same day. I could hardly believe it!He performed a microdiscectomy on 1/17/18 at 7am and I walked out (slowly) at noon with a very small incision in my lower back. I rehab'd fiercely on a treadmill over the following weeks and it has all paid off.I've waited nearly 6 years to post this review because I wanted to be sure of the outcome. The results have been fantastic, my back has never been better. And I push it hard, including spring skiing in the Rockys last year.Dr DeWitt and staff was fantastic. Couldn't ask for a better experience overall.Thank you, Dr DeWitt
