Dr. Baum is attentive, caring & thorough. He is the CMO of Thompson Hospital, as well as Chief of the ER. Without Dr. Baum interceding during my visit for a blood transfusion on July 27, 2021 Deanna Peterson, PA would not have written the orders for my transfusion. Dr. Baum re-read my chest x-ray at 11:30 telling me that Deanna was mistaken and I did NOT have an enlarged heart. Dr. Baum came back at 2pm expecting me to be ready to be discharged only to find that he needed to intercede yet again as the PA had not had my blood brought up from the lab. Thank goodness for Dr. Baum’s follo-up, thoroughness and professional treatment.
