Dr. Denes easily identified the source of minor pain a year after hip surgery and means to resolve it, and to definitively out the only concerning possibility. He and his PA Danielle Kohl are a great team. I highly recommend them.Now, one year after replacing both hips I can provide a better review of the process and the outcomes. These are my experience. I recommend you only consider either an anterior approach (as Dr. Denes uses) or Superpath. Avoid others unless medical needs dictate those. The healing from anterior and Superpath are far faster, far superior and have far fewer limitations than others. Choose a physician who uses the right hardware (XLPE cup and ceramic ball), with no cobalt chrome on bearing surfaces. CoCr is toxic. Use ice packs after surgery. Don't expect pain to be an issue. Use drugs if needed. Do take the anti-nausea drugs. Recovery can be rapid, take your time. I have no limits today. Most important, pick a great surgeon like Dr. Denes!
