As we age our body's change, with the long acting insulin duration extending causing low BS after bedtime. This problem was treated by other specialist with the same recommendation that I visit someone to change my diet. This problem evolved after my being a 50 year type 1 diabetic, without any changes to my caloric intake. So after visiting a host of specialist in Charlottesville, VA., it was a pleasure to find Dr. Santulli who was willing to take the time to evaluate the root cause of my problem before giving a diagnosis. While the other doctor's were highly recommended, they all failed to meet my expectations for diabetic care. I simply started to seek out a specialist on my own without any recommendations and was rewarded with finding one of what I think is the best doctor's available in the area.
