Dr. Morrison made a very uncomfortable surgery/recovery the best experience it could have been for me. Something I had put off and dreaded for a long time turned out to be a better experience than I expected. He answered questions and gave all the details that I needed and I felt very comfortable and confident with him. I loved his kind, gentle demeanor and his "old school" way of making me know that everything would be okay. I'm so glad I was referred to him and would not hesitate to see him again if I ever needed anything! Love him and his practice! Thank you so much!

I am second generation physician, my father was an obstetric gynecologist, and my son is currently at the University of Alabama studying in the field surgery. By far the most rewarding is patients thanking us and the bond we create with the patient. That's part of the whole deal with medicine doctors and patients, you find something to like or love about every patient and it's not hard to do. Patients are looking for help, and once you break through that barrier of fear and anxiety they really realize that you are there to help them and they become your friend, and you become their doctor in the true sense of the word. We try to discuss our rectal cancer patients particularly before we begin treatment so we can integrate treatment so it is exactly tailored out to that stage of disease. Because not everyone needs the same operation or the same treatment. In addition it's a method of monitoring the quality of our specimens so we achieve higher cure rates and lower recurrent rates.
