One dr. recommended Dr. Michael Smith which brought me to Rothman. I needed a double lumbar fusion to prevent permanent damage, performed at the Kimmel Pavillion at NYU Langone, an unbelievable facility. Dr. Smith consistently performs his procedures with the same experienced team consisting of Dr. Quirno, who initially recommended Dr. Smith and Mackenzie Cooke, PA-C, also of Rothman, among others. I was also put in touch with Dana Schlossberg, BSN, RN, ATC., the clinical assistant to Dr. Smith, very knowledgeable answering all my questions. Appointments & updates about your visits are sent via text or email. Entering the super clean office you are greeted by a friendly staff with short wait times. Dr. Smith himself is down to earth & professional explaining my injury & surgery. Follow-up visits exemplified more of the same describing the healing process in a manner that patients understand. Since my surgery in March '23, follow-up visits have remained exceptional for this duration.
