After 15 years with a local OBGYN, I had to find a new doctor, my doctor was retiring. I was fearful, mostly because I trusted my doctor I had used for so long. CHI set me up with Dr. Thaxton. I used Dr Thaxton throughout my entire pregnancy and was always reassured and well informed when I left. She was even the one to deliver my baby, she was calm, helped me to stay calm (13hours of labor, failed epidural, no pain meds, you can imagine what a blessing her calming aura was) and she checked on me and the baby after delivery! We very soon found out we were pregnant again and unfortunately we lost our second baby, but Dr. Thaxton and the entire staff at CHI went above and beyond to help us, comfort us and make sure that my body was okay and would be okay when we went home. Dr. Thaxton is a sincere, caring woman and very knowledgeable of what she does. I know God had a hand in helping the receptionist schedule me with her.
