At that time it had been 24 years since my diagnosis with an MPN and after seeing five other hematologists, among whom I found only vague knowledge of this disease, and no satisfaction that I had been treated knowledgeably. Kirstin Pettit, is the most knowledgeable, the warmest and kindest of the lot of them. She spends a lot of time explaining and has access to all the most recent developments in the research of MPNs.
