Dr. Bourland is an absolute genius! She diagnosed our daughter with atypical Kawasaki and worked tirelessly to get us admitted to Children's Hospital. You only have a 10 day window to treat Kawasaki to avoid long term consequences and it is an extremely hard diagnosis to make in infants because they rarely show all of the symptoms. Because of her thorough examination of our daughter and her experience, she was able to get our daughter the treatment that she needed. Beyond her medical brilliance, she is also an incredible communicator. She is matter of fact while also being compassionate and upbeat.
