After years of taking reflux medications that were not helping my pain from GERD anymore, I saw Dr. Sandhu and requested his help. He said I was a candidate for the Tif procedure. Actually, I had the cTif, as surgeon Dr. Craig Smith robotically repaired a sliding hiatal hernia before Dr. Sandhu internally reconstructed my esophageal sphincter. Both of these procedures together is the cTif procedure. It's only been about 6 weeks since the procedure, and I feel like I have my life back! I had very little pain, and I feel my recovery has proceeded quicker than I had expected. Many thanks to Dr. Sandhu and his team!
