Patient Reviews
Apr 10, 2024
If you are looking for an excellent lung oncologist, Dr. Spira at Virginia Cancer Specialists should be your top choice. He has been my oncologist for the past four and a half years. I have non-small cell Exon 20 metastatic lung cancer. Dr. Spira is outstanding in his expertise and knowledge of the latest treatments and testing procedures. I'm currently on amivantamab which he was able to get me on through compassionate use prior to it being FDA approved. I have been on this treatment for three years which has decreased and kept my cancer stable with minor side effects. Dr. Spira is a caring and compassionate doctor who goes above and beyond to help his patients. He's the best!

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
