Why Should I Include Omega-3 Fatty Acids In My Diet?

So omega 3 fatty acids are well know to be heart healthy and brain healthy. They have a lot of other health aspects, but one of the things that we're beginning to realize is that omega 3 fatty acids are also cancer fighters. So imagine one fatty acid that actually does multiple things for your health.

So where do you find them? You find them in fish. You find them in different types of sea food. Squid is actually an under recognized source of omega-3 fatty acids, but so is shrimp, and also even clams, and other [xx] shell fish actually also have some degree of Omega-3 fatty acids.

The key thing about Omega-3 fatty acids, when you're looking for them in sea food is to be careful about the mercury level. So what you want to do is to get sea food that has a little mercury, low or no mercury, but high levels of omega 3 fatty acids. And by the way another side is that even some meats contain omega 3 fatty acids.

If you take a look at grass fed beef, you actually find it in your meat, an upgrade amounts of omega-3s, and so to a corn fed pork pigs.
