Hi, I'm Wendy Bats, one of your expert fitness professionals on ShareCare, and I'm going to talk to you about the importance of food logging, awareness key for success. Research shows that logging of food is an excellent way to lose and manage your weight. It's important because it keeps you aware of how many calories you're eating throughout the day, and how many more calories you have left to eat at the end of the day in order to maintain your daily goal.

Many times people eat way too many calories even if there food choices are good, which can still lead to weight gain. Logging of food is a great learning tool for teaching you how many calories certain foods are worth and if they should be part of your everyday diet. Be true to yourself when using a food log, because the more honest you are the better your chances getting your goals.

By logging your food you'll have an accurate measure of the number of calories you're eating and be able to make the changes that you want to make physically while improving your health at the same time.
