Tired all the time? In the Health Smarts video, Vonda Wright, MD, discusses 4 easy ways to boost energy and fight fatigue, from walking and deep breathing to nutrition.
Hi, I'm Dr. Vonda Wright, are you feeling sluggish? I've got four simple tips to give you a boost, go for a walk. Walking is an amazing energizer, even a 10 minute stroll around the block can recharge you. Walk your way to 30 minutes a day and you'll help your health too. Eat more often not less. Skipping meals wont save calories, it will just make you binge later try eating five to six mini meals a day.
Go for the goodies like fruit, vegetables, lean proteins and whole grains. Breath through your nose, you might be thinking how else would you breath, but deep nasal breathing releases stored nitric oxide which opens up your arteries and get your blood moving. Pick up a weight, just 10 minutes of strength training three times a week can help you shed the pounds and lose the stress, you can even use your body weight to do exercises.
