What Should I Do Before Starting a Weight-Loss Program?

Here are some tips before you start your weight loss program. First of all, you have to find a purpose that sort of means something to you. Is it about aesthetics, is it about weight loss, is it about numbers on the scale? Typically if that's your focus, chances are you will fail and I want you to succeed, so the hope and call is, you find a reason why, you find a purpose that is valuable to you, in a long term that has to do with your health and your fitness and your quality of life.

Also before you start any fitness program it's important to check with your doctor, make sure cholesterol is correct, you don't have high blood pressure or any other kind of aches and pains that might get in your way. And also, I think what's really important is, understand before you start, that you have to be patient.

This takes time. The only thing I want you to do is to show up, make sure that you do something five to seven days a week. And who cares? Don't be a perfectionist, the idea here is just to be in the room, do your best and forget the rest, that's all I ask.
