Who should avoid energy drinks?
Energy drinks are risky for several groups of people. In this video, consumer healthcare specialist Tod Cooperman, MD, explains who should steer clear.

Anyone with a heart condition, anyone who's pregnant should be staying away from these drinks.
And the mega amounts of vitamins in them, as I had mentioned, that can be dangerous to anyone.

I think if used very cautiously-- say, taking-- drinking just one or fewer of these bottles in a day--
you're probably OK. But if you exceed one bottle, if you start getting to two or three, that
can be dangerous for many different people. In fact, as-- as I mentioned, you can be exceeding the-- the vitamin level--
safe levels that you shouldn't be exceeding. And in terms of caffeine, anyone with a heart condition shouldn't be using them.
And they're very susceptible to abuse. Mixing them with alcohol, for example,
sets you up for being drunk, but really not feeling like you're drunk and doing things
that can be dangerous to you and other people. [QUICK RHYTHMIC MUSIC]
