Exercise can be very beneficial in treating depression. In particular, aerobic exercise may help the brain make new brain cells to treat depression. In this video, Tarique Perera, MD, a psychiatrist with Contemporary Care of Connecticut, explains.
Exercise is very important. In fact when I do research in your neurogenesis, which I'll go into a little bit more detail but basically people are depressed of lower levels over neurogenesis into the campus, the people when they treat with anti-depressants that neurogenesis increased and in certain morals, the animal morals that do well in this research.
Certain animal morals are depressions where anti-depressants are not as effective as increase in your joint as exercises. But even with exercise, the type of exercise is very important, with the believe is that aerobic exercise, especially for depression anxious people, is more beneficial than an aerobic.
Because you do very rapid exercise that builds a lactic acid can actually make you more anxious, so the type of exercise is important. [MUSIC].
