Is Eating Peanut Butter a Healthy Choice?

I love talking about peanut butter, its actually one of my favorite foods. Because it delivers heart healthy mono unsaturated fats. What does that really mean? heart healthy mono unsaturated fats are the therapeutic fats in your diet. So what they end up doing is that they lower your bad cholesterol without lowering your good cholesterol.

They really promote cardiovascular health plus peanut butter tastes delicious. It's a great source of protein and fat. So when you're thinking about eating for a long lasting energy, that's one of the foods that could actually sustain you whether you're using it as a snack or a lunch sandwich, there's one fine print when it comes to peanut butter and that's when I tell people you've got to mind your Ps and Qs, portion and quality.

So we've already established that peanut butter is a high quality nutritional choice. but just one level tablespoon in 100 calories, so want to make sure that if you're eating a peanut butter as part of a meal, try to keep it to two tablespoons maximum and never go with reduced fat peanut butters because what happens with reduced fat peanut butter is they take out the healthy fat and then they put in fillers and might be added sugar, hydrogenated oils all those dietary villains that actually do the opposite and can actually endanger your health, so when it comes to peanut butter less ingredients is more, make sure the only ingredient is peanuts and you don't have to stop there, you can go with almond butter, walnut butter, cashew butter, because you can kind of find some other fabulous anti-oxidants and nutrients that promote your health.
