Why Should I Avoid Artificial Sweeteners If I'm Trying to Lose Weight?

If you're trying to lose weight you maybe using a lot of artificial sweeteners which I can understand because we know that sugar has a lot of empty calories. If you have type 1 or type 2 diabetes, I think artificial sweeteners are just a God sent, but if you don't, I don't love using artificial sweeteners a lot, whether they're in drinks, or in baking, or on your cereal, or your coffee.

One of the reasons is artificial sweeteners are between 200 and 800 times sweeter than sugar. So then your expectation for how sweet something tastes gets ratchets up so that sweet pitch suddenly doesn't taste sweet anymore and you won't feel as satisfied, and maybe you will eat more. So I would prefer, if you want to use an artificial sweetener in your coffee, that's fine, but then go with real whole food for most of the day.
