A lot of people steer clear of eggs for fear of cholesterol. Nutritionist Dr. Rovenia Brock sets the record straight on whether egg cholesterol is bad for you or not.
Eggs contain fats and yes they do contain cholesterol but here is the thing. It is a dietary cholesterol per say that raises your blood cholesterol levels in the body. Your body naturally makes cholesterol, it is saturated fat that you're going to find in your bacon, in your sausage in your luncheon meats and processed meat that you find in full fat dairy sources.
So it's saturated fat, and it's also trans fats found in baked goods that are really going to do more to raise your serum or blood cholesterol level than any cholesterol that you find in eggs.
