Digestive Enzymes are substances in your GI tract that break the food you eat down into particles, into nutrients that can be absorbed through the lining of the gut, and used by all the different cells in your body. There're three main categories of digestive enzymes, the proteases that break down protein, amylases that breakdown carbohydrates and lipases that break down fats.
