A lot of people have enzyme deficiencies and don't realize it, a common example of this is lactose intolerance. So, significant percentage of the world's population is missing the enzyme lactase that digest lactose and what happens if you consume dairy and you're lactose intolerant, you get gas, you get bloating, you get cramps, sometimes you get diarrhea and so these are all signs that the lactose in your body isn't being properly broken down.

There are lots of other physical signs and symptoms that you may not be connecting but that actually might be due to low enzyme activity level.
