Some natural remedies for high blood pressure include drinking beet juice, taking an herb called hawthorn, and increasing your intake of magnesium. Watch naturopathic specialist Pina LoGiudice, ND, discuss these natural alternatives for hypertension.
There's some wonderful natural remedies for hypertension or high blood pressure. One of the first things I do recommend now with this new study that came out of England this past year is actually having a cup of beet juice a day. So you want to juice them raw and that will be a great start to lower your blood pressure.
Other things that will lower your blood pressure would be another herb called Hawthorne. Hawthorne is wonderful in terms of relaxing the blood vessels, both the beets and the hawthorne elevate something called nitric oxide is which would dilate your blood vessels. So it's extremely helpful, it's a wonderful anti-oxidant and a wonderful anti inflammatory.
The last thing I would do as an anti-hypertensive is magnesium a wonderful nutrient really its the number one most depleted nutrient with our crazy lifestyle, so I always recommend patience, including a magnesium capsule or two a day. And when you do all of those three things in combination your blood pressure will sure to be going down.
