I'm commonly asked, is chocolate good for you? And the answer is a qualified yes. It's dark chocolate that's good for you.
Dark chocolate has these things called flavonoids in it that are powerful antioxidants and protect us from toxins that are actually created in our body--
things called free radicals, say, if you smoke or if you have high blood pressure. So dark chocolate is very, very powerful in these antioxidants,
as are blueberries and other things. And it is good for you.
It helps to dilate your blood vessels, can actually lower your blood pressure, makes your blood less sticky so you don't clot as much,
and can actually lower the bad cholesterol. The science has shown that it's really hard dark chocolate.
