Whether you're pregnant or not, tanning can increase your risk of skin cancer -- and when there's a baby on board you're more likely to burn. Learn more by watching this video featuring nurse midwife Paula Greer.
Tanning is never good for anybody. The incidence of tanning and tanning beds has caused an increase risk of melanoma across country. Just because you're pregnant doesn't mean you should tan in a booth or at the sea or by the pool. Your body will be different during the pregnancy and you will actually burn even easier than you did prior to pregnancy.
When you are out, you need to use a good safe sun screen throughout the pregnancy remember you're going to burn more quickly when you're pregnant. Heat exhaustion is more common when you're pregnant so sunscreen, lots of water, lots of hydration, avoid the tanning booth and now is not the time to worry about a tan.
Use your pregnant glow, that's all about healthiness for you and your baby.
