How Do I Know If I'm Addicted to Something?

You'll know if you are addicted to something. If you answer yes to one or more of this four questions. Have I ever felt like I needed to cut down? Have I ever been angry or annoyed at somebody else telling me I need to cut down or eliminate this behavior or thing I'm ingesting? Have you ever felt guilty about the amount of substance or behavior that you're using? And do you need an eyeopener? So do you need something first thing in the morning when you get up? So if it's like coffee addiction and you're drinking 12 cups of coffee a day, you need to rush to that coffee pot before you do anything else.

So if you answer yes to one or more of those questions you may actually be addicted to something, and then the next step will be to figure out what that treatment model is for you, and if you don't know what that next step is, finding a mental health professional is usually a really good place to start.
