Watch as Dr. Michael Breus provides tips on how parents can help their child get a good night's sleep.
Hi, I'm Dr. Michael Breus, the sleep doctor. Getting children to fall asleep is actually a lot easier than you might imagine. The most important thing to remember is keeping a constant bed-time routine. So whether it's washing the face, brushing the teeth, story time, prayer, whatever it happens to be, make sure that's consistent, every single night of the week.
Also, maintain the schedule. So if your child goes to bed at 8 o'clock every night, even on the weekends, going to bed at 8 o'clock is going to be good. Because when they normal wake up, most of them don't sleep and so, they're still wake up that early morning hour. If you haven't stay up late it could be kind of a disaster the next day, so remember the key to getting your children to go to bed is consistency.
