There aren't any real health risks associated with using a sleep tracker, but the amount of data captured can be overwhelming. In this video, sleep expert Michael Breus, PhD, explains why sleep a tracker may not be an ideal gadget for some people.

There aren't any real health risks to using a sleep tracker;
however, if you're one of those types of people that just gets bogged down in your test results and you can't stop thinking about sleep and you can't stop thinking,
it's probably not the best idea to have a sleep tracker. Because then you're going to start to worry, did I get enough minutes of deep, did I get enough minutes of REM.
What's going on, what's going to happen to me. And that'll raise your level of anxiety. By raising that level of anxiety, it could, in fact, affect your ability to sleep.
So if you're not one of those people who gets bogged down in the data, a sleep tracker is going to be great.
