Rhodiola is ideal for those who get tired/depressed when they are stressed out; it has a gentle stimulating effect on the nervous system and our mood. Watch acupuncturist and herbalist Mary Sabo explain the benefits of rhodiola, and how to take it.
So Rhodiola is great for people who get tired and depressed when they're stressed, it has a gentle stimulating effect on the central nervous system, so it gives our mood a little boost and it also helps with mental clarity and physical performance. Most of my patients like to take Rhodiola as a pill and I recommend 100 milligrams in the morning and the maybe again at lunch.
Now because it has a stimulating effect, you don't want to take it in the evening, you don't want to wake up your mind right before you go to bed.
