How old do you need to be for LASIK surgery? Well, according to the FDA, you have to be at least 18 years of age.
In addition, your vision has to stop changing. So that would mean that for the past year, at least,
you haven't needed a change in your glasses. Also before LASIK surgery to make
sure your vision's truly stable, we have to have you stop wearing your contact lenses--
soft lenses for two weeks, hard lenses for usually a month or longer.
